Background: Due to progressive increase in stroke incidence and need for effective therapy, the effectiveness of biofeedback therapy on the hand Function and activities of Daily living performances in stroke survivors were studied.Patients and Methods: In this randomized control trial study, 24 participants (mean age 54.75 years) were divided randomly in experiment and control groups. Their affected hands were evaluated before and after intervention using Barthel index questionnaire, Ashworth test and goniometry in elbow, wrist and finger. The two groups received current occupational therapy intervention for 3 months, 3 sessions (each session was 45 minutes) in a week. The experimental group also had 15 minute biofeedback therapy in each session.Results: Biofeedback trained group showed more decrease in spasticity, significants increase in range of motion in elbow (P<0.001), wrist (P<0.003) and finger (P<0.001) and significant increase in activities of Daily living performances (P<0.001).Conclusions: Biofeedback in accompanying with routine occupational therapy promised to be more effective in stroke survivors.

In this study, HEC-HMS with its continuous loss Function module (SMA: Soil Moisture Account) has been applied for the Daily runoff modeling in the Pol-e-Shaloo hydrometric station on Karoon river. The Daily runoff data from Iranian water year of 1370-1371 to 1374-1375 (1991.Sep.24 to 1996. Sep.23) were utilized as calibration data and the model verification has been performed using the Daily data from 1375-1376 to 1377-1378 (1996.Sep.24 to 1999. Sep.23). Model verification exhibited appropriate consistency between the observation and simulation data (R2=0.82). The percent of total volume error (PTVE) values, Nash-Sutcliffe coefficient, and root mean square error (RMSE) of developed model were 11.3%, 0.82 and 151 cms, respectively. Comparison between the results of this study and other similar studies demonstrated the ability of HEC-HMS with SMA module for the continuous modeling of Daily runoff in the Karoon basin.

Introduction: Teeth loss and its consequences, such as mental discomfort, most often negatively affects one's health and well-being. Dental implants were introduced in an attempt to raise patients' satisfaction and improve health and quality of life in all dimensions. Hence, this study was performed to check the impact of implantation on the oral health indices in patients who were candidates for implant treatment in Isfahan city. Materials & Methods: In this analytical cross-sectional study, the lifestyle quality of 73 patients who were referred to Isfahan’, s Islamic Azad Dental University (Khorasgan) and its affiliated private centers, was assessed using the OIDP index before and after their implant treatment between 2019 and 2020. Also, data analysis was done using Independent ttest, Paired t-test and analysis of variance ANOVA test (α,= 0. 05). Results: In the current study, the most common problem and with the most effect on oral satisfaction quality were teeth lost and extractions, respectively. Majorly, the effects were evident on the eating habits (83. 6%), satisfaction of communication with others (68. 5%) and quality of smile (64. 4%). In the questionnaire, an attenuated score of OIDP was recorded, before the implant treatment compared to that of post-treatment, which was statistically meaningful (p value < 0. 05). Conclusion: According to the current study data, we can conclude that implant treatment can have a positive effect on the patients' lifestyle quality.

A characteristic of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is to allow individual decision making units (DMUs) to select the factor weights which are the most advantageous for them in calculating their efficiency scores. This flexibility in selecting the weights, on the other hand, deters the comparison among DMUs on a common base. For dealing with this difficulty and assessing all the DMUs on the same scale, this paper proposes using a multiple objective linear programming (MOLP) approach based on scalarizing Function for generating common set of weights under the DEA framework. This is an advantageous of the proposed approach against general approaches in the literature which are based on multiple objective nonlinear programming.
